This 1869 FIRST EDITION of “The Gold Fields and Mineral Districts of Victoria”, with Notes on the modes of Occurrence of Gold and other Metals and Minerals.  With 644 pages and illustrated with over one hundred Sketches, Plans, Maps and Sections.  This book was the most accurate and comprehensive book on gold and mineral mining in Victoria for its era.

Anyone even slightly interested in mining or mining history will find this fascinating.  It has EVERYTHING you would want.

Other than some hardly discernible scuffs, the covers and the spine are in an immaculate condition.  The front blank pages might be new however the first three pages after, are damaged around the edges.  All other pages to 109 are in excellent condition.  From page 109 to 118 are slightly ripped in the bottom corner near the bottom gutter.
